leaving a review specifically for their sandwiches - particularly their cuban, steak, and chicken sammies. i havent been able to find too many cuban sandwiches in nyc, but this place does them excellently. cannot comment on their other meals, but they always look and smell good. reviewing and recommending just for sandwiches for now until i try other items
I live near the area and is my go-to for Dominican food. I normally get the lunch special, but anything you get will be great. Food is cooked fresh, is affordable and you get provided a generous amount of food. The sit-down is nice, you can casually watch sports games or listen to music in their jukebox. The hostesses are nice and will assist you with your order and answer any questions you might have. Great service!

I always order here, but the prices are too high! I started ordering from caridad (not too far) and their prices for a lunch combo are so much better for my pocket and the food is just as good.
My family and I have come to this restaurant since I was a child (and when they used to be on Broadway!)- not sure if it's still the same owners as before but they were very kind people with great staff, and the food was always excellent. My grandfather was a very picky eater and he LOVED this restaurant until the very end. For him, it was home. He would eat at this restaurant everyday and any chance he could get, always getting the same thing: white rice with chicken and a side of beans. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone new to the area looking for great Dominican food!!!
I've had their cubano especial a number of times and it just doesn't disappoint. Their fries are great as well
